Source of the Light
We weren't doing too well
And decided to try something new
To break the spell.
This is what we set out to do.

You read a book on astrology
And I read a book about stars.
I followed you and you followed me
And neither of us made it far.

So we took out a pen
And proceeded to draw up a plan.
A strict regimen
Of starting and starting again.

Determined to recreate the moment
When everything felt felt so right.
Ignoring the signs, embracing the omens
Embarked on a search for

The source of the light
Eludes us sometimes
To keep it in sight
Is almost impossible.

We gathered our charts and maps
And set out for the open sky.
Our engines sparkled and snapped
As we climbed into the atmospheric tide.

Wearing suits resistant to radiation
Exerting our minds and our might
Pushing the limits of aviation
We rocketed toward

The source of the light
Eludes us sometimes
But if you keep it inside
Anything's possible.
