The United World Underground project grew from the Music & Elsewhere underground tape label, the origins of which go back to 1986. It was always open to people who shared the ideals of true independent music. Performers, bands, underground labels, fanzines, subterannean music fans, we considered them all members if they wanted to be a part of it. The aim was simply to connect, create and thrive. Back then, it was done with the aid of letters, stamps and jiffy bags, but the principle remains the same. If you would like to connect with others who participate in independent / underground music with a view to sharing information, helping eachother along, enthusing etc, welcome aboard. If you would solely like a free advertising platform to promote your own output, you may find your destiny lies elsewhere...
