The Manitou has been making dark synthpop and experimental music since the turn of the century. He is inspired by the sounds emanating from the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop, and synth pioneers such as Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, John Foxx, and Jean-Michel Jarre. His tools of the trade are chiefly analogue synthesizers, drum and rhythm machines, circuit-bent electronics, and the sounds of everyday (and some not-so-everyday) objects. His current work-in-progess, 'Radioatomic,' is a thematic album about the atomic age, and is being released as a series of singles via Bandcamp.
